Matt
MISOGYNY + GENDER EQUITY SPECIALIST

Matt Pinkett has been teaching as an English teacher for over a decade.

Along the way he has been a Head of English and an Assistant Head in a school for autistic pupils. When not avoiding marking, Matt writes, speaks and thinks about masculinity.

His first book, 'Boys Don't Try? Rethinking Masculinity in Schools' holds the rare acclaim of being an Amazon Top 100 bestseller. The follow-up, 'Boys Do Cry: Improving Boys' Mental Health and Wellbeing in Schools' was released in the summer of 2023.

The recent rise of influencers such as Andrew Tate means that Matt spends a lot of time talking to students, teacher, parents – and anyone who will listen – about the dangers of misogyny and how to call it out when you see it. In his spare time, Matt likes to avoid exercise.
